Help with mounting for 13" GPS computer

    Hi all.
I am looking to mount my 13" computer on or near the centre of the dash, above the existing switches.
Has anyone done this before that can offer advice.
I have ideas but not sure of the strength requirements when off road. With my last 4x4 (Jeep CRD ) I had made up a tray to sit on the passenger seat. It had fold out legs so it could fit over the legs of a passenger. This was to assist with cooling and personel comfort.
Now want to install something more perminant.
    Any suggestions?
    Camper.

    Look at this mob:

    RAM Mounting Systems, Inc.

They do vehicle mounts for all sorts of stuff, well made too. Also available through ebay, search for "ram mounts"

Thanks team. Had a look and they make some very good gear. I also looked at the units fitted into Land Rover but unfortunately not Defender. I will contact them when home and send a few pics and drawings of what i have in mind to see what they recommend.
