Thread: Dick Smith's Garmin Maps

Hi all, does anyone know about the maps in the current Dick Smith offer of a Garmin hh with maps?

Can these maps be opened on a pc as well as on the device?

I have only ever tried with my Garmin Nuvi, I can access the garmin gps maps via a program called Base Camp, but there are printing and other restrictions.
Base camp however will access Aus Toppo maps that can be installed on the Garmin Nuvi.
This means you can use the city maps for turn by turn instructions and get the intersection view etc for the Big Smoke, and use the Toppo maps (still with turn by turn) for country roads, and even Forestry roads and a surprising amount of 4x4 tracks in the bush.
There are no printing restrictions etc with Base Camp on the Oz Toppo maps
