    Garmin Topo

    Hi,
    has anyone on here run garmin topo maps of australia and micro sd card on any of the larger 7" screen chinese gps units ? or on any unit other than a garmin?

    Though you can't load it from the sd card to your computer you can use it in other gps units, I'm just not sure if they are Garmin specific or not.

    Hi format is a garmin unique but there are ways of converting some into other formats. If you google you will find utilities to change formats, but the garmin cards are locked too.

    Thanks for the reply, I guessed that that would be the case. I have an etrex 30 on which to run the topo, so I would be better off going down the oziexplorer rout with one of the larger generic units I guess.
