    GPS and Wireless Reversing Camera

I am looking at getting a reversing camera for my D2 and I found this

7" CAR GPS NAVIGATION SYSTEM wireless Reverse Camera 2012 AUS 3D MAP 4GB 128MB | eBay

Anyone has experience with this type of device?
How good the wireless reversing camera?
How good is the GPS and will I be able to load ozexplorer map into it?

    TIA

Watching with interest. I've been eyeing them off myself. Want something in the Santa Fe.

I have a wireless system for my 101 - tested but not fitted - likewise my brother bought one for his Triton - neither has the transmitting power to transmit through the metal work of a normal vehicle with a reliable signal. My brother got rid of his and bought a wired one. In my 101 if I lift the transmitter above the bodywork it works OK but from a lower down position the signal is not strong enough.

So I would ensure that the signal will be strong enough to transmit to the reciever from its mounting position.

Wireless cameras state that you should not fit to cars with a chassis as there is too much metal.

I tried to fit one to the 110 and did not work at all. I now just buy the cable ones of eBay
Due to having two young boys I have them on all my cars. Cost about $60 and easy to fit

Do you mean extension cable for transmitter?

If I can get that one would be great. I guess it is easier to put the transmitter inside the car than if I have to run cable from camera to monitor

No - the system is a wired system not a radio system - I would definitely recommend going to a wired system.
