    Smile Got a new GPS

As the title states. My new toy arrived today. It is a no name 7" HD Atlas5 dual core 600Mhz 128m ddr2 4gb internal storage gps Chinese unit. Runs Windows CE 6 as it`s operating system. Will be ok with Ozi explorer. On the start screen menu you can select which navigation program you wish to run and also on the start screen is a shortcut to windows. Which is handy for loading programs. Has both usb and SD card for memory expansion, music, videos etc. Picks up the gps signal quick enough and that was indoors.

I bought something similar - Chinese sourced (Knav) runs Win CE6 and NavnGo IGO8 street nav software.
Runs Ozi fine but when I went to purchase an upgrade to the IGO8 they wouldn't talk to me - it turns out that the Chinese have pirated the software.

    Why am I not surprised.

Just put 7" HD Atlas5 into your ebay search, (tick the including description box) and check em out.

Yep that`s the one. Old one used to to take ages to reacquire it`s signal after leaving a tunnel. This unit is pretty much instant. For the money they are not to bad.

    Love the Chinglish ebay description

Do they have an input for reverse camera? It wasn't clear from the description.

Well you will just be very exciting about the manual If you don`t have a twitch before reading it you will after. But have managed to work out it does not have a reversing camera capability. But do reversing cameras come wireless ? If so it might be done as it has blue tooth.

Yep, you can get wireless cams.

One seller is putting them out with reversing cameras:

I'm tempted for one of these in the Rangie:

d@rk51d3 that 7" atlas5 unit is from the same mob as mine. Exactly the same cradle. Slightly different unit. Most likely same internals.

Exactly the same as the one I have just reworked, installed ozi and I-go, with selectable screen at start up
I agree for the money it's good value
Mine was a bit cheaper than that and doesn't have Bluetooth, but I don't need it anyway
