    GPS for Disco 4

    I have a GPS system for a DISCO 4. It came with the car in 2010. Since then there has been an update. Anybody know how to update the system themselves, where to update?

    I think that the cost of updating updating at the dealers would be very expensive.

    I have looked into this a little.

    You are right. It is expensive and the update is apparently a few years behind the current roads.

    As far as I can determine no-one has cracked how to do this yourself. Only dealers have the access/licence codes or correct software.

    I hope to be corrected.............

    This is the main reason why I opted not to have the LR GPS in my D4. I bought a Hema Navigator and run that - can update the maps any time myself.

    Landrover is not the only one who rips you off with map updates - a mate just got the shock of his life when he went to update the maps in his upmarket dunnydoor.
