Thanks but doesn't have AV in which is a must have for me.

    Cheers

My big Chinese one goes to sleep when power goes off but when you switch it back on the internal GPS needs to be reset which means going into settings which is a pain.

If the Chinese ones would come on with power and have full functionality and switch off when power goes of and not loose functionality then I would get another one but I do like my little Garmin - even better if it had AV in.

This is the one that does everything I would need - assuming the Garmin topo maps are OK. But it is not sold in Aust.

That's odd. Both my Chinese ones start the GPS themselves when I choose the navigation programs, either Oziexplorer or Primo. I don't have to go into the settings.

The biggest downfall of the Chinese units is the dim display. Even with the screen visor installed. The site for IGO map upgrades has also disappeared.

I replaced the IGO with a Navman Myescape2 and Gary should probably add this to his list of what not to buy

The screen is OK especially for rev camera but locks up and required power cycling often. It does not auto shut down. The maps and speed alerts are upto date but often incorrect

I don't know much about Navman - how good are they to use for street navigation?

    Thanks
