Have a look at http://www.rangerovers.net/outfitting/cbra...cb4.html#other2 and see where I fitted it on mine. Right in front of the airvents - held on with black double sided tape. Not the white stuff which falls off when it gets hot. I bought the tape at SuperCheap. I've used it to hold most stuff in the P38A without the need to drill holes.
The CB radio head unit is also double-sided taped on.

Kev.
My Magellan GPS mount sticks to the windscreen. The maritime compass is screwed through the dash and helps to restrain the ever curling dash. I blame global warming. Thats a Disco 1A issue though
So I repeat what brand of GPS?

G'day Kev,
I borrowed a GPS from a friend to cross the Simpson last year.
I mounted the cradle over the narrow vent across the dash with two long screws through the vent grill.
The radio had to be removed to get in under the grill to put the nuts on.
It didn't budge during the trip, and there is no sign of where it was now it's gone!
Even though mine is a Series 1, I think the vent is the same on the Series 2.
If you want to PM your e-mail address, I can send you a pic.
Larry.
