    Laptop query

Will the "moving map" work with a laptop and
    a Garmin GPS72 attached to it? :?: :?:

I ask as it would be a waste of money buying the data cable

I have sold my boat and rather than flog the GPS reciever on Ebay
I thought it could be used in this scenario

    Any comments please...........

if you can connect a data cable from the gps to the computer and the software will recognise the gps you will be fine

    The answer is yes.

However if the laptop has no serial port you will need a serial to usb converter, around $30.
