how to install maps in tomtom on PDA?

    Hi
I have installed TomTom 5.x onto a PDA.
When I try to run the software it says I have no map installed, or something like that.
I have a folder with a map of Australia that suits TomTom but dont know which folder to copy it to on the PDA.

    Anyone know?

couldn't say for sure... had a similar problem myself when installing on my phone... couldn't find maps... took them off and on again a couple times then all of a sudden it could see them.

I think one key though is don't take off the guam maps first... you need to swap maps from guam to australia within the program... then you can delete the guam ones.

I think maybe remove everything tomtom off the pda first and do a clean install and start from scratch

The maps are about 73mb so they wont fit, depending on Ipaq model the most mem will be 32-64mb.

In case it happens to anyone else:

I upgraded to tomto6 re-installed tomtom & maps onto the SD card.

Tomtom is in a folder in the root called: tomtom
the maps are in a folder called: australia-map
the voices, cool hay it talkes to me :-) are in a folder called: voices

all works fine once I found the right com port on the PDA to talk to the reciever.

    thanks for the advice
