    Thanks Remy,
I've been playing with all kinds of stuff for off road nav with TomToms for a while now, and this particular one works with just about all models of TomTom, not just the "Navigator".

    Cheers,

I have run pocket pc for a while with tomtom and oziexplorer but have just found this and it is good for my 1:25, 000 maps and other more detailed state forest maps - glad to see others are using it as most of the talk on here has been about bulky laptops or Hema which is pricey.
    Thanks KIEREN

This looks really good. My only concern is that the doco doesn't say if you can switch between street navigation & raster mapping. Has anyone tried this? And if so, if you use TomTom Home, does it delete this program?

It runs as an app on the unit, when you want it, and can exit it when you want to.
TomTom Home will not delete it unless you tell it to!
    Cheers,

Do you install it via active sync or load onto sd card then run the install ?

    They don't use active sync.

Depending on which model you install it onto the main memory or the main memory + maps onto your SD card - when you turn on your TomTom unit and it's plugged into your PC, select connect to computer and you will be given 1 or 2 new drive letters in Windows Explorer.

Its not a Tomtom unit its a pda, Remy said he used it on a pocket pc hence my question quoting him.
