hello all
just was flicking through ozi on the comp and was thinking how do you actualy import a map file from ozi on the comp to oziCE on your gps???
I can't as I only have a simple GPS (e-trex), but I can download waypoints and can create tracks and download them from the e-trex to the GPS.
Handy to mark track junctions or creeks, huts, ridges, turns etc when walking.
cheers

The Parks Vic Website has a couple of freely available and distributable maps in .pdf format.
These can be converted and calibrated for use in Ozi, as per the attached .zip files. ("How to" is here)
To view the maps in .pdf
"Seasonal Road Closures" for: Lerderderg - Map26 (.pdf = 297kb)
and Wombat is on Daylesford - Map27 (.pdf = 1.19mb)
The "Parknotes" visitors guide (.pdf = 1.22mb) for Lerderderg State Park also contains a map which is essentially the same as SRC09Map26 above. (but without the closures marked)
You'll have to covert them to .ozf yourself if you're using OziCE, otherwise just unzip the pair of files (.map & .png) and use with Oziexplorer.
...edit.... I've moved the attachments to the SRC09 thread so it's all together
SRC09map26Lerderderg.zip (883.2 kb )
SRC09map27Daylesford.zip (892.8 kb )

Hey simon,
My mobile is zero, one, four, two, eight, eight, nine, zero, nine, six.
Give me a call and I will give you my address as I am in hoppers crossing just off the north end of bellbridge. We can arrange a time for you to call past and I will give 4 dvd's of maps of vic and some aus. Including the digital edition of the meridian maps for wombat. I rate this as the best map of wombat that could exist. It has a lot of detail and info and its almost spot on with all the tracks. Its the one I use on the eeepc on the dash when I head up there. I can also show you some really good camping spots on the map.
