Occasionally a thread starts up where maps are shared for free. If the maps are public-domain, that's fantastic, the more the better.

However, most maps are not free. They are copyright, so copying them is theft. Now you may not care about that in general, but you should think through the consequences in this case. You aren't ripping off some big nameless corporation, you're ripping off some fellow Aussie who most probably has a small business, making maps. None of these guys, to my knowledge, have a garage full of Vogues. It's worth the few dollars they ask for the maps, think of it as supporting the industry and giving them an incentive to put in the hours to continue making maps.

Any threads which discuss sharing of non-free maps will be deleted.
