What are the best Maps to download on to SD card for Vic and OZ country Maps? If you have any websites etc that would be great!

    Hi def90,

Im using Garmins topo maps on my 255w. Works great and has topographical mapping/tracks across all of australia. I went with the DVD option and loaded the maps on to a cheap SD card.

    Hope that helps!

    Hi DFNDR90,
Where abouts did you source the DVD from, and if you remember roughly what you paid for it?
I have the 265W, which has the same card reader in it, and was told when I bought it that this could be easily done, but knowing which maps or the best way to do it,, still remains a mystery to me

    Hi Chops,

I bought the DVD from OctaPC com au, price was $225 incl delivery (OctaPC is Perth based, so not sure if eastern states will incure a shipping fee).

    Hi incisor,

I have shonky maps on the same SD card, but never use it. Cant remember if I have used it at all actually!

If anyone wants to see some screen grabs from Garmin Basecamp (running on a mac) or photo's of the maps on the GPS let me know..
