often if a holden 6 replaced the OEM 6 there was no need to mod the front cross memeber, if the front cross member is modded it was most likely originally a 4 pot.

I used my mobile phone instead of the camera so my apologies for the quality of the shots. The photos are taken using a 300 mm square, which just fits. The photo was taken of the distance between the step on the firewall to the seat box on my 4 cylinder engine.

Did you get to measure the distance between the seat box and the firewall to find out if the vehicle was originally fitted with a 4 or a 6 cylinder motor? If so what was it?
