There is a bit of info in the stickys at the top of the Holden section here.

You will also need engine mounts, carby linkages, spigot bush and radiator hoses for a start. As yours is a 2.6 there shouldn't be any need to modify the crossmember or radiator mountings.

If you post your location there may also be somone nearby to offer help.

Not sure what state you live in, but some will require engineering approval, or a full engineers certificate to do this. If you are in Vic, then you will be required to pass a brake test (not an issue if it was a 6 cylinder originally as you have said, so I am assuming series III?), and it will need seat belts, 2 speed wipers, windscreen demister, etc. easy enough on a series III, Talk to your rego authority and engineer BEFORE doing anything, it could be expensive. Having said that, if you know what you are up against, then go for it.

I am (slowly) restoring a series III that has never been registered in Vic with the Holden 6 in it, and it will require a full VASS certificate, which will cost in the vicinity on $2K with RWC, so not something to be entered into lightly... Add to that the cost of the conversion and anything else that needs doing and it can soon add up to a lot more than the finished car will ever be worth.

Don't be put off though, just want you to be up to speed before you start. Please start a thread up on the conversion and resto, and include plenty of photos.

I think it'd be a great project, it'll certainly have more get up and go than the standard Landy, really do your homework and it'll save time and money in the long run. Let us know how it goes.

Well I got my first Landy when I was 11 and I've still got it, it's a 1970 IIA with a 4 in it, I then bought a '76 SIII when I was 14 to do up for the road but the chassis was too far gone so I bought a '76 Range Rover when I was still 14 and I've got most of a 100" SIII V8 put together and I'm 15 now so your not alone.
