Tyre swap over / trade in on new car

I am about to pick up my new D4 SE in 4 weeks and was wondering whether anyone has had any luck negotiating a good trade in on the OEM tyres in Sydney.

I am upgrading from a D3, which I had the Pirelli Scorpion ATR tyres on and am not keen to go back to the high way tyres again, but don't want to wait 30k before the OEM tyres wear out.

    Thanks in advance

    James

Not in Sydney, but I traded the 5 for Pirelli ATRs in Melb for $1000 just before Christmas.

Best thing to do is insist on a tyre swap before you sign, so they have an incentive.

If afterwards buy the new tyres, drive the car directly to a fitter, swap them over and put the originals on eBay as brand new. Find out what vehicles they fit and advertise those names in there as well. For example I sold Santa Fe tyres to a Territory owner.

Both approaches have worked for me my friends and I.
