    Q093 global closing really available?

I have tried to get our local Brisbane dealer (Austral) to update our D4 HSE with the global closing option, even with sniegy's advice, but they say it is not available, in fact I quote:

"We have been informed by Land Rover Australia that the global closing option is not available in cars for our market.

Hence even if we did perform the procedure you out line below it would not work.

We have asked if this will change and they have advised they will notify us if / when it happens."

I have seen many posts which indicate it is, so can anyone provide specific approval information on the ADR?

    Phil.

Got my update done today and had requested:

    • Global Close - "Not allowed to do it in Australia"
    • km/l instead of l/100km - "Can't do it"

    Fixed the window bouncing issue.

Generally driving a lot smoother, and less turbo lag. Definitely recommended.

    Phil,

Is the software not in the Aus spec D4 , or is it NOT being enabled
by the Dealer due to a directive/legislation ?

Ours was updated before a trip to Tasmania. Now, the 'aux' part of the radio decides to intermittenly not work. Get out of the car, lock the car, unlock, get in, it works. The sensor seems to know when the key is in the car as the above doesn't work from inside.

    Ho hum.

    Aux input now need fixing.
    Rear seat rattle needs fixing
Gear lever needs replacing (known issue where a sensor that's part of the gear leaver mechanism tells the car it's in park AND command shift at the same time so you get a 'gearbox fault')

And, after shopping today, I need to get half the car repainted as some scumbag keyed one of the doors. Being Nara Bronze metallic, they will have to blend the paint over the passenger side of the car. I'd love to catch the scum doing this and....... (I'm calm, I'm calm, I'm calm......)

Mine has just had the update done. A gbox s/w update was mentioned but that may have been part of Q093. I like that on light throttle it changes-up sooner although still takes a lot of convincing to drop into 6th at 80kph. The bad shudder that occurred if the throttle was backed-off a bit quickly once up to speed has been cured. Not too many gear changes on the drive home so I'll get a better idea in over the next few days.

Is there any way of telling if you have this update? I'm guessing I don't as I have one of the problems listed. Clock keeps resetting to 24hr clock after turning car off.

I had the update 2 weeks ago, and although the clock problem was "fixed" and I tested it in the driveway of the dealership, by that afternoon it seemed to have unfixed itself. Wonder what else can unfix?

Sometimes updates don't take, I had to have one re-done once.

Thanks for that - I called the dealer and checked and they said there is still a bulletin on the clock fix, and no resolution yet. He said the rest of the fixes are separate, so shouldn't need to get re-patched.

    Hi All.
new to this site but I can advise that the global open and close windows work on my D4 after the Q093 update. Hold the buttons for about 4 seconds and hey presto... I was impressed.
