Thanks. It's bloody frustrating with these newer cars & their air bags ect. & wheel & suspension laws. One thing I have learned since owning a D3 is that Modifications/upgrades are a lot more complicated than they should be.

Here is some pics of the sliders I have made. I'm really happy with the way they have turned out.[biggrin]
I have kept the pipe rails closer to the body because I wanted to reduce leverage & possibly tearing out from the standard threads in the sill. Material is 5mm mild steel plate. I have left a 10mm spacing between the bottom plate & the bottom of the sill for drainage & put a self adhesive foam seal along the top edge so it doesn't scratch the body & keeps a bit of moisture out.
The only bit I am not sure of is at the bottom of the front flare, if it needs to be finished off with something or leave it as is.
I am open to any suggestions.
Thanks for all of your help. As for a price I am waiting on a quote from the laser cutters. Let me know if your interested via PM.
Thanks.
Hey they look great Disco3. You may have to go into production.
Cheers, Craig
Thanks Craig,
I will make some up to sell if I have enough interest.
I certainly won't be in it to get rich though. I just hate the idea of bottoming out my pride & joy & damaging stuff. I'm sure others feel the same way.
Do you recon they will fit the same mounting points on the D4?
Regards,
Brad
Hi Brad, not sure about fitting the D4. There are probably others on the forum that are able to answer your query.
If they do, I'm sure you would get some interest.
Cheers, Craig
A couple more pics of the front flare area.
Any ideas on how to fill it are most welcome.
Excellent job. They look strong and don't detract from the appearance.
