lift kit for a D3. anyone done it?

Can the standard D3 (diesel) be lifted easily? I've heard its simply a matter of larger springs and the shocks can handle it? Maybe larger rims and tryes?

Does he conversion affect the computers or speedo in any way? Do you need recalibration.

    Anyone got experience or photos

    cheers
    Jim

Lots of people have lifted their non EAS D3 coilers. Suggest you do a search on the forum topics you should find quite a bit of info.

    Hi Jimmy,
Assuming that you are talking about a coiler, a common "lift" is to go with King Springs, giving ~50mm lift. I believe that Pedders now also have longer springs.

The lift itself will not affect the speedo/odometer.

Naturally, if to go with tyres with a greater rolling diameter than standard, that will affect the speedo/odo.

    Hi Jimmy,
I lifted my original 05 D3 TDV6, I've got an SE now. I got King Springs from "Suspension Stuff" on the internet. Everything fitted, I had the wheel alignment checked after I'd done it. I attempted to change the springs on the struts myself, I managed the front ones myself , I tried the rear ones and broke my spring compressors, quite frightening, I had a suspension joint fit the rear springs to the struts, I took the easy option here. I kept the 17 inch rims so no chage to the speedo. Hope this helps.

    Hi Nomad9,
    You're not the only one.

I had my King Springs fitted by one of their Sydney agents. They also broke their spring compressor and had to chase around for a replacement.

I believe that they (the agent) no longer will fit the springs to the D3.

    Best Wishes,
    Peter

    after market air suspension

I've got a D3S and would like to fit an aftermarket kit to raise / lower the suspension. Anyone done this? Anyone know who could do it in Adelaide?
