Tax incentives if you drive a small "CC'd" Engine & a Manual.

I believe the manual gearbox is the same as the one in the Puma Defenders.

I have seen one recently for sale somewhere in Aus that was a manual.

Blacklocks Albury had one at one stage, as my father test drove it but decided against due to lack of air suspension, and TR. Said it was a nice car to drive though.

    D3 TDV6 Manual...

    • AFAIK - I don't think it's the same gearbox as the Puma (The Puma has the Ford MT82).
    • I don't know about Oz but over here you can get the manual all the way up to the HSE spec!
    • There is a reason why the manual is sooo much cheaper than the manual...
    • To drive the manual properly is quite difficult to do without stalling. This is coz it is sooo hard to hear the engine & the bite point on the clutch.

I'd suggest taking an auto out for a test drive so you can compare.

A manual gear box was/is a NCO on any D3 from SE to HSE.
I am thankful the dealer talked me out of going for the manual in an SE, love the auto!
Also, who would want a second hand D3 in manual? Not many I suspect.

    Hi jonesfam,
I don't know where you get your "holier than thou" attitude, certainly not from experience!

If they shipped it back to the UK , it wouldn't fetch GBP14k and
there would be NZ$3500 freight costs too . The reality is that it's
worth under NZ$26000 to them .
