On my D3, I left them on most of the time, but I had different wheel nuts to secure them (from a Toyota LC). Note that they may/may not be legal in your state.
Cheers,

Hi all, i've followed some threads on the favorite topic of tyre choice for D3's.
I have (255/60/18) grabbers AT2's on my standard alloys but wish to go to a 17" rim for a higher profile tyre and LT mud terrain tyre choices.
Looking at the BFG KM2's 245/70.
Does anyone have any advice on the Dynamic Steel rims - pros & cons ?
I presume they are heavier than alloys but much much cheaper for a second set that only gets "big trip" use. Or...are they good enough to leave on the car all the time ?
thanks John

Yep..as Gordon said - check out the legality of them (offset - load rating etc) - there's lots of info on here so do a search and be prepared for a bit of reading....good luck.

Thanks Guys, yes I haved checked other threads which verified they are legal in Vic (and need special D3 wheel nuts) so has anyone feedback on the steel Dynamic rims?
cheers
John
Had mine on for about 60,000 kms. Do not put the alloys on, they just sit in the shed looking new, but I live in the Kimberley and more than half the time the car is started, it goes offroad. Can't say much about them, they give no problems. I run 265/70/17 LT Mickey Thompsons at the moment. Maybe next change of tyres I will get them blasted and powder coated as the paint is deteriorating now after the beaches and salt flats in the last two years.
4WDing,
You will not be disappointed with the KM2s. Just did a trip to Sunset Country and Big Desert and they performed faultlessly.. They are quiet at speed on road and effortless offroad. They hum a bit on the road at low speed though.
So good that I am considering selling my 18" HSE wheel with Grabbers.
Surprised to hear that the Dynamics are illegal in Vic! Can't be right.
Discojools.

						Thanks All,
I checked with Chris Hummer at Dynamic and all is OK.
cheers
John
Our 17x7” 30P 5x120 Dynamic wheel for Discovery 3 adds a total of 19-20mm on the vehicle track width, this is well within the 25mm maximum.
