    Dancing window

Good problem this morning with the D4. As I habitually do, I wound all 4 windows down to clear the condensation off. The right rear would wind up, then half way down if I used the 'auto up' function. 15 mins of driving later, it all worked perfectly again.

I'm guessing it got a splash of water on some switch or some such that has dried out quickly.

Dealer said 'if it's not consistent, there's nothing much we can do' which is understandable I guess. Ho hum..

    It's a landrover thing....

Usually caused by the anti "catch neck" feature.
if theresistance to the window is too much it will assume a blockage and go down a bit. Maybe spray the runners with silicone dry lube or it might have been cold grease in the lift mechanism

Have you had Q093 carried out yet? It addresses that problem.

Not yet - it's only happened once so I'm reporting it, but not panicked by it yet. I'm hoping it's the issue as stated by PhillipA. Mind you, it all the windows sometimes close 'hard' at times so the Q093 is on the cards. Will have to wait till after I get back from a 2 week holiday to Tasmania in July though.

Thanks for the thoughts though gents.

My auto-catch activates when auto closing at 100kph or more. It happens pretty much consistently. I'll have to check but I think Q093 has been carried out.
