Thread: Landrover experience day.

I can highly recommend this day - you really get a sense of what these vehicles are capable of....very well run and enjoyable.

Those pictures are awesome! But oh my God, the 5th one had my heart in my mouth! I don't think I'd be game to try that one with my girl, LOL.

Can I ask: is it a specific training day (ie are there qualified trainers managing the process)? Or was it just an organised event for LRs?

Does anyone know if something like this exists near Brisbane? My Husband and I really need to do something like this to learn about the finer points of 4WDing.

it was organised through Melbourne City Landrover - a dealer in Port Melbourne...."Chris" was our instructor and he did a very thorough job, it was very safe and everybody finished the day having learnt a great deal about their vehicle (and themselves) - keeping my foot off the brake going down the quite steep hills was an experience in itself !!! - the HDC is something else - and climbing the "fenceline" track had my heart rate up I can tell you ! - my wife and I enjoyed the day very much and it gave us both a lot more confidence in just where we can get to in our vehicle. During lunch (very good) we exchanged stories with other owners and discussed our favourite tracks / camping spots etc (an added bonus) I'm sure your local LR dealer would run such a day up your way. here's a link to the MLR site with details about the day.

Oh that sounds brilliant! Might get in touch with Brisbane LR and see if they do anything like this.

hey guy`s what a great day was had yesterday, i was in the other group. My head is still spinning because of what these cars can do. i was amazed with how many wives and girlfriends wouldn`t give the cars back to the blokes. Mine is hooked and now wants to join a 4x4 club. Go figure.

The hills are a lot steeper than the photo shows.
Was good to see everyone having some fun.
