    Fault codes - what next?

Hi - a couple of months into D3 ownership I have had my first experience of fault codes - question is what do i do now?

Was just parking and suddenly a transmission and park brake fault showed up. The transmission one said that limited gears were available. After leaving the car for a half hour or so I restarted and nothing came up on the dash and was able to drive ok.

Is it standard procedure to just take it back to the dealer or is it just a quirk if the fault disappears from the dash? The other issue is that i have been having transmission problems which the dealer has treated with a flush, and the warranty is due to run out on shortly......

Would ring them but they aren't open......

    Cheers
    Darren

Wash the engine bay lately? These faults are sometimes associated with water in the transfer case ECU near the battery.

Call the dealer & report the problem to them at the very least. That way the fault is on record with them - make a note of who/when you spoke to just to be sure.
