I was told by the tyre dealer last week that I is illegal in QLD to down size from the OEM rims.
Is this true? Does this mean that I am stuck with 18"?
Breen.
The new General Grabber AT (not AT2) will be available in 255/55/19 and 255/50/19 in a few weeks time (in the UK, at least). It looks good, but don't have details about its construction or price.

Not the case I would think. He may be talking about the outside diameter of the tyre though. Even then I think you can go smaller but there is a limit in mm.
I don't know about Qld, but in NSW its legal to fit any rim diameter that's listed on the placard.

Thank you.
Hi all,
Looks like the General Grabber AT will be available in the UK at the end of this month. It is not the AT2, but a whole new tyre. Looks great to me.
I have a Melbourne based dealer chasing availability in Australia.
Keep you posted. In the meantime, you can check on progress on this link DISCO4.COM - View topic - ******The NEW 255/55x19 General AT******
Cheers, Craig
Still no "light truck" construction?
Are there any LT construction 19" tyres?
Will any of the 18 inch LTs fit the D3?
There is at least the BFG-AT in LT265-65-18 & a few in LT275-65-18, not that they fit too well.

I was wondering about the sizes in the new GG. Some of the 18s are LT.
