			Alternator Knock

					Hey guys,
Thought someone on here may be able to help. The dealer has been stuffing me around a bit as they do. They initially told me that my bushes required replacing which were done only 10000k ago(by them). They didnt realise this and once I told them they wanted another look. At the same service I told them about random warning lights and the battery light coming on which they said was just loose battery connections. When they had another look they told me the bushes were ok but the alternator was stuffed (which I had told them to check in the first place). They reckon the mechanic mistook an intermittant knocking noise from the alternator for the bushes. I have never heard of this (or heard the noise). Are they just full of it or is this possible.

 Cheers
