    GME TX-6100 CB 5W Handheld - or - ICOM IC-41S 5watt UHF Handheld

Interested in comment on which of these is preferred (from those who use them) and confirmation of their connectibility to external antenna.

Also, will the introduction of the 80 channel CB make these obsolete?

    5W handeld UHF CB

    Gday...

Thanks for that ... will definitely keep that in mind.

The only thing that is causing me hesitation at the moment is probably the impact of the 80channel stuff coming in Jan.

I need to talk to someone about which way to go .... 40 to 40 OK ... and 80 to 80 OK but apparently the quality of talk between 40channel UHFs and 80Channel UHFs will be pretty poor.

But will PM you when I get my head around what I want a bit more.

    Cheers
    John
