D4 OEM Protection tubes. Anyone have them fitted?

Have a look here at the "Protection Tubes"

Discovery 4 Accessories, Alloys & Wheels | Land Rover Australia

Just wondering how solid they are?

I am also interested in the side protection tubes. As well as wanting to know if anyone has fitted them, how much are they?
    Cheers, Craig

Thanks Camskii. How solid are they? ie are they sliders or just for show?

They're not sliders, just protruding bars. As for how solid, they're better than nothing, but they dent fairly easily.

    Cheers,

Not yet, just letting my obsessive/compulsive side run wild to look into every little detail while driving my self mad(er) with "should I/shouldn't I" while knowing full well that I will (eventually) anyway.

    Pathetic, isn't it?

    Gordon,

Are there "proper" sliders available for the D3 other than these factory ones that work with the side airbags etc ?

    Regards,

    George

I was surprised how solid mine are actually - but they definitely aren't sliders.
I just think they look cool, and prefer them over the side steps which I think protrude out too far.
