Bought the D4 in March, and 23,248km later, first service time.
Dropped the car off with a tiny list of things to check:
1. Clips 'unclipped' on one of the plastic front wheel arches.
2. Intermittent fault where the cruise drops out when you hit resume that leads to the volume control on the steering wheel being inoperable. Very intermittent so was not hopeful they'd find the canbus fault.
Given a Feelander td4 SE as a loaner. Very nice, however it's not in the same class as the D4 which is far nicer.
Go to pick up the D4 and hand over the card to pay. Get this confused look from the service guy who says I don't have to pay for anything!
Turns out that when we bought the D4 in March, LR had a 'promotion' special where we get FREE 'corporate' servicing for the warantee period. BONUS!
The dealer probably did us about it when we bought the car, but with all the other things to see around the car, I probably missed (or tuned out) to that part of the loooong intro to the car.
Faults:
1. They replaced a faulty clip and all is fine.
2. As expected, it's intermittent so they couldn't replicate the fault and the computer has no faults recorded. Ho hum. Not super important, the volume is fixed by turning the cruise control off then on again.
Overall, happy! Oh, and as part of the corporate plan, they will check that D4 every 12,000km and give me the Freelander loaner for my trouble.
Good saving for me.

As part of the 'corporate service' plan, I get the loaner for free too. Bonus!
I've been more than happy with everything Lennock LR have done in Canberra.
LR have never charged me for a loaner... Neither has any other company...
Who charges for a loan car?

One of the most important parts of the service I find is the wash and the vacuum.
I paid for my fuel only from Burwin Volkswagon
