    Traxide SC80 system into D4 - Front.

Can the Traxide system be fitted to a D4, yes it can.
    See pic. No1.

I moved the Transfer case ecu to the R/H/F panel, used most of the plastic covering to keep it safe & secure as per factory.
I attached the Glow plug relay to the same plastic box, take note, you only have the corners to mount/screw it into.
I attached the alarm horn to a bolt up in the back ground. See pic. No2.

The main loom extension (largest plug) i just used its original mount, ground down the rectangle bit that slots into its original holder & double sided taped to the t/case ecu plastic box. I also added some corrugated tubing to the loom so it does not rub against the master cylinder assembly. See pic. No3.

Adjusted/moved the wiring around & in the end looks neat & is functional.

    Any questions ask away.

    Cheers.

Nice one Sniegy - looks pretty much identical to my Traxide installation, which has been in and running fine for about 4 months now. Good on you for posting up pics.

BTW - my set-up just got me through 4 days camped in one spot out in the scrub with no drama this time. Made a practice of only opening and shutting doors once in the morning and once in the evening each day - which just goes to show that old dogs can learn new tricks!

    Thanks Sniegy,

I got my kit from Tim on Thursday and am hoping to get it in this weekend.

    Cheers,

Next week will be a full year since having my second battery fitted.
The fridge has ran every day. Not one problem with it.
    Very happy, Craig

My second battery has been going for over 1 year now, runs fridge 24\7,
and is mounted in front of main battery, this spot was thought to be too hot
but does not seem to be the case, have been thru the Kimberleys, and several off road tracks, towing a 2t KK,so it would have been as hot as it would get. Very happy with the traxide setup, only problem has been the C\Bs(not supplied by Traxide)
vibrated themselves to pieces, now got maxi wedges.
    Cheers Ken

Hi roamer, sorry I didn’t know about your Circuit breaker problems and I’ll fix up for the cost of the replacements.

Do you know whether the Circuit breakers were marked with a name?

We couldn’t get the USA made Cole Hersee circuit breakers for a while so I used another brand I have used before without incident so yours are the first problems I have heard of.

I’ve changed to Short Stop circuit breakers now and they are made by Bussman, another USA company.
