I was looking at my ECB today which has a short filler and thought that a taller version like yours would be a big improvement.
Used some automotive rubber to fill the gap.
Got it from the local rubber & hose supply business. Apparently this particular rubber is used by the local Ford & Nissan dealers, but I don't know in what application.
Anyways, the attached photos give a good idea as to the end result.
Also one photo showing the rubber's cross-section, so you could use this to match at your local suppliers.

						Clark Rubber sell it too. It is a vehicle door seal and some are stiffer and even have re-inforcing.

That looks fantastic.
Does it need glueing in or does it just push into the gap?
If you look at the last photo, the channel section with the white plastic teeth get pushed onto/over the steel edge of the bullbar.
