    Misfueling device and jerry cans

This might seem a statement of the bleeding obvious to most - but it might also be useful to know in advance (if you haven't already thought it through, or run into it that is!): be aware that at least some (maybe all?) jerry can spouts will trigger LR's nifty "misfueling device"! Shifted 20 litres from a typical yellow plastic jerry to the tank using the "standard" yellow plastic spout thingy a week or so ago - then wondered why refueling was so fiddly and slow (pump on - pump off - move nozzle - pump on - pump off etc etc)... Duh! Looked down the spout - and sure enough, there was that nifty little yellow gate saying to me "you dodo - you tried to fill with unleaded!!" So - be aware - or join me in being square

Thats odd I have filled mine plenty of times from plastic jerry cans, with no problems, maybe my misfueling devise doesn't work.

I don't let the spout go right in, keeping it right back from the trigger.

Ahh, a trick for young players...and old ones like myself.
I am sure that this would have caught me out!
    Thanks for the post Jesse.
