No, I doubt thats anything to do with the LR tank - they arent in anyway linked to the trip computer - totally self sufficient.
Had a long range tank fitted during the week. Coming back to Perth today from dropping off family and caravan at MILs, noticed that when it ticked over the 1000km mark on the trip computer that the average fuel usage and the average speed both seem to be reset. The distance to empty was unaffected.
Has anyone with a LR tank noticed this?
Thanks
Cameron

Stornoway,
Agree the LR tank would not cause this, but I usually reset the trip every time I refill. Before the LR tank is was typically around the 600km mark. With the LR tank this is now in excess of 1000kms between refills. Wanted to see if someone had a similar experience when the trip computer goes over 1000kms and it resets.
Thanks

Actually.... On the D3 at least, that is correct.
oul
I remember do Syd-Mel-Syd, fill up on leaving refill around Goulburn / Marulen on the way back, the distance to empty sits on 999 till around Liverpool (Remember it really only thinks of distance on the original tank).
I normally do a full fill, and run around 1500km before next fill, so the trip computer is only 3 digits, it DOES NOT reset, consumption, average speed etc is just normal.
