They are mass dampers. They reduce chassis shake like the sort that makes things fall off with vibration. Mass dampers are a tool used by many manufacturers to improve the ride. Why not take them off and report back on how it goes on rough roads.

If you take 'em off .... you'll feel seasick.
They were put there for a reason....leave 'em where they are.....if you want to remove weight just remove your rear seats (if yours is a 7 seater of course) it made mine about 80kgs lighter.
