    Dripping water - Air con?

    Ok,

We all know about the pool of water under the car you get from the condesation in the aircon system. Now, I'm getting a similar puddle from the passenger side rear of the car too. As I've got the rear aircon in the car, is it from that? I'd have to assume that there is a second or third exchanger in the car. There are controls/vents in the rear seat area, and extra vents (large) in the 'c' pillar mouldings so there's room for an exchanger there. Again, the condensation would have to come out somewhere.

Anybody know for sure? Otherwise I'll just ask the dealer at the next service (in 6000km)

Hi Disomania, I also have the rear airconditioner in my D4. Did have in the D3 as well.
Only ever noticed the water under the vehicle on one side?
Maybe someone else can shed some light.

    Cheers, Craig

It COULD just be that we've had a lot of rain and a bit of crud blocking a drain hole or just a small place water collects while driving was able to empty with the car parked nose down (a car park).

Just curious if it may be from the rear air.

I had this issue with the D4... wet carpet on the driver's footwell. Found it's a rubber hose had to be pressed back onto the AC drip outlet.

    stig,

Thanks for that - it's what I expected it would be. With the really humid weather, I'd started to notice the small puddle when I stopped. I LOVE this rear air thing. The car cools down so much faster with vents to the rear seats, and to the cargo area.
