Oops! Misjudged a dune and ended up bellied out and balanced on 3 wheels. Had to make a 90 degree turn to get down too, so did some cautious digging and drove out no problem.
Made it up the dune in pic 3 5 minutes later. Must have been at least 50 angle and 10M high! Bogged down again where photo is taken so dropped to 8PSI and drove out.

Know the feeling mate. I used to tow a trailer with rowing boats at times including quads and Eights. Near on 3 tonn and LONG. The Long Wide Load signs didn't keep some people away. Funnily enough when my D2 was no longer available to them they contemplated getting a member with a lifted Renegade Rubicon long wheel base to tow the boat trailer...nearly fell of my chair laughing. Tow capacity of about half what the trailer weighed.
Cheers

Pictured outside the dealers, before we drove it to Brisbane. Ran like a charm all the way, loved the power.
It's a 2014 SDV6 SE, Corris Grey, and fairly standard, although after a visit to the 4x4 show in Brisbane yesterday that should change.
The “new” D4 in the VHC
3.0L SDV6, llams, Prospeed Roof Rack, Tuffant steel 18” Rims with D697, APT rock sliders and compressor guard.
Absolutely love the car...Permagrin all the time.
With the D3 still going well but getting a bit long in the tooth (and I just wanted some more power) it was time to upgrade.
Has a tow pro and power to the back. The 20s with the contis are super smooth on the road but I've grabbed a second hand set of Compomotives from Mackay. Dealer threw in a front runner full length rack and a light bar that fits to the front of the rack that came off a different D4. That will go sometime soon.
Having driven for a week and a half now. Gee whiz it's nice. Towed my tandem trailer with a full load of rubble and dirt to tip today. The torque is just incredible so good to tow with. I've always liked my 3 but 4 is awesome. Talk about permagrin.

SupporterThanks for the complement, interestingly, white was the other color of choice. In fact it was going to be a white car (certainly good for bush and dirt) when I started looking. Then I saw the grey one. I like the look of the grey, hopefully I won't regret it in the bush. The first tight track will be traumatic....
