    Mudflap mystery

    Hi all,

Just after a little help. I have been after some new rear mudflaps since the originals copped a hiding and had to be cut away.
Funny thing is the ones you can get from the UK via online shopping don't look like mine. Are the ones you can by knock offs hence look different or do I have non genuine? Has the shape changed?

Attached is a photo of what mine look like.

The mudflaps changed with the 08-09 model when they went to coloured wheel arches.
Mine look quite different, don't have the ridge & are shorter.
I'm on the second set because they bust so easily.
I have a set of big floppy series 3 mudflaps on the trailer complete with LR logo, wish I could work out a way to fit them to the D3.

Having just purchased my 3rd set in 4 years, I can tell you there are two designs, both stocked by LR. Can't remember the explanation but one is shorter than the other.

Just saw the other thread regards fitting stock standard - buy of the shelf type flaps. Might give them a go, certainly would be able to withstand a few rock scrapes.
    Thanks for the input guys.

My OEMs get stuffed because they act like sand/mud ploughs.

I cut them and plastic welded them to fix then attached some rubber with rivets and black caulke.

Best of both worlds same shape as OEM to stop stones and flexibility of rubber ones.
