I intend having it done just before the end of warranty so that the oil can be checked at the same time.
Don't mean to sound dumb, but does the D4 3.0Lt transmission require a fluid change at 80K - 100K like the D3?
I know that the 3.0Lt has the upgraded transmission, this is why I ask.
Not quite ready.............just clocked over 43K.
Cheers, Craig

						A couple of observations.
I had my RRS (06my 2.7td.v6) changed at 60k notwithstanding supposed "lifetime" fill for normal use.
i) The trans and oil has to be stone cold to check the level. This means overnight at the dealer as it won't cool down enough during the day if driven.
ii) The LR named oil is about $ 800-00 for 10 litres and VERY hard to find. Castrol however have an alternative ( and the dealer obtained LR approval for its' use) and it cost just under $100-00 for 10 litres. Ask Castrol technical advisors for details.
BTW the trans. is quieter and better behaved with the new oil, although I wasn't unhappy with it before the change !
