Did your dealer insist on a 6 month health check? Mine (Lance Dixon) has. Agree with you re reliability.. Our 2.7 D4, delivered early December, is faultless although I am a little confused about the accuracy of the trip computer re distance to empty.
Having owned LRs for many years this is the first one I have had no issues with after delivery. Hope it lasts!!

The dealer didn't insist on the 6 Month I had it done anyway plus an oil change because I was about to head off on a Caravan trip.

I will do the same for my mid year trip..

Well I am just coming up on 12 months with my 2.7 D4 and have only had 1 problem, a kinked heater hose that caused the car heater to act poorly in winter, ie, took far to long to blow out hot air. So for 20,000 km of driving I am still really pleased with my purchase.

The only thing I would change if I were do it again would of be an electric front seat to make it easier for my wife to find a better driving position. She would like to raise the seat base up without it tilting forwards to accommodate her short arse legs.

What can I say though, she's just a great car.

They can't "insist", it's not a mandatory requirement.

I did get mine done though and I suspect many others would too, just for the peace of mind.

I think it was $180....extra for oil though, if you choose to get it changed.

You would be crazy not to have the oil & filter changed after the first 12,000Klm's............and every 12,000Klm's after, for that matter.
Had too many vehicles over the years to know that the oil / filter changes are soooooo important.

Same here, changing oil & filter every 10,000k, (bought 20lt oil..$280)
Remember when my D3 came out gear box was sealed for life, well short life.:
D4 is nearly 18mths old now and only has a few niggling things wrong, will take back to dealer to look at , and a slow compressor that I had to fix myself
Brilliant car, more than happy, have had permagrin for 5 yrs now

Oil is cheap .... engines/autos aren't ... change it and save yourself a lot of bother.
