Thread: Superseded Parts Nos?

Dealer recently (January this year) changed front suspension arms of swmbos rrs tdv8. I put the parts numbers he used (RBJ501580/ 501590)) into Google and found out they are no longer available, having been superseded by a new number LR028251).

Any idea how I can find out when/why the number changed? Does it mean the parts were redesigned? LR South Africa refused to cover the work under warranty, saying suspension is not covered, but that's another story...


Just want to find out if the dealer pulled a fast one using parts that shouldn't be used.

At some stage LR redesigned ball joints to be larger but don't know when the changes occurred so don't know if this is the reason.
