The shipping costs seem very high for two arm rests given it doesn't cost that much more to air freight 5 x BFG A/T's from the US.

If you D4 owners find you can't fit the arm rests retrospectively and any of you have a D4 SE with a E-diff you want to swap for my HSE D3 with all the fruit give me a call.

I love my armrests don't know how you guys survive without them! ...It would be terrible I reckon!

Who knows I might also throw in my D2a HSE then some lucky, soon to be ex, D4 owner could have two lovely silver Disco's with arm rests for the price of some skungy D4 without them.

    I'll leave now...

    cheers,
    Terry

I'd be up for a pair too for my D4 with black fabric seats.. Brad 72 , I'm sure you will let us know if they can be fitted to your seats when you know.

Are these the same as the ones fitted to the RRS - if so I wouldn't waste your money. Mine are too narrow and too close to the seat to be comfortable and I just use the door casing top and the centre console - much more comfy.

the arm rests on my 2011 D4 HSE spend most of the time in the up position; i don't think they are much use although the wife likes them.
    Cheers,

I have to agree with you both, I never use the arm rests in my brothers RRS and I use the centre console in my D4. My wife will be the only one using them as when the seat is forward and up she has nowhere for her elbows.

Hi Guys, i've been looking into this recently and, after asking alot of people, a nearby landrover guy says that a local upolhosterer custom makes them for landrovers. I'm off to check it out tomorrow, will get back with the outcome later.
    cheers all

    Hi All,
I have spoken to a motor trimmer here in Perth about fitting after market arm rests to the front seats of the disco3. Apparently they order the fully adjustable arm rest out of Europe. Once they are here they cost $385.00 fitted. However they come in a standard black poly. If you want them trimmed in a matching leather {and i assume most of us will} it's another $100.00. This price is per arm rest. Now for our east coast friends, any motor trimmer can source and fit them. For Perth guys Gary Milane in east perth seems very familiar with them and they are his prices i have quoted. Apparently the seat has to be removed, then a reinforcing piece has to be bolted to the seat frame, hence the cost!!! . Also only the inner arm rest can be done as the outer will interfere with the seat airbag {kinda obvious i know but just thought i'd mention it}.
    happy trails all

Ah yes. After following this post,I contacted Famous Four Parts UK. After a few email swops I quoted the vin number of the car and sortly afterwards recieved the two arm rests of matching trim.Cost $630.00 including freight and taxs etc
They came with a small screw washer and plastic cover. And there we have the problem. No mounting bracket to fit to the seat.Off to my faverit LR supplier (MR Automotive),and a quick look at the parts manual to show that the fitting seem to come as part of the seat.
After a little thought I aquired two old arm rests out of an early Rangie classic.
These I pulled apart and retrieved the mounting brackets.
The mounting brackets are of the same dia, and fit the inner whole of the arm rest the outer had to be machined down to 16mm .Cut 10 mm of the end of the bracket and drill and tap the end for the supplied fixing screw.
Next ,disconect the battery and remove the seat. Peel the cover of the back of the seat up to reviel the mounting point of the seat.Offer up the fitting drill two holes into the seat and bolt the armrest mounting to the seat.Reasemble the seat cutting a hole in the fabric where the bracket is .
    Fit seat
back in the car and fit the arm rest.

I just had mine fitted when I bought the car along with the electric seats. I have to say they are very comfortable and I use mine all the time. They are never in the up position
