Supposedly the new ARB Summit Bars are not compatible with early D4s, only the facelift onwards.

Would be very interesting to know just why they are not compatible
I did not think jlra would change something so close to a model phase out

They didn’t. But ARB hasn’t retrospectively checked so they say it’s for the ones they have..

Has anyone fit a Bash plate or Front guard such as APT's with the OEM/Factory Alloy Bullbar, or have any idea if it can be made to fit?

Hey Tombie, is this statement fact?

Its relevant to me because I have a 2011 D4 with a 2016 front end (lights and grill) so I’m looking at the ARB bumper now

do I buy a pre-facelift bullbar which will obviously fit my 2011, but will it not line up correctly for the new grill or lights? Ie what is the physical difference in the two models

or if what you said is correct above I assume I can safely buy a post facelift bar and it will still fit my car?

dont want to buy the wrong one

Tombie is no longer here, I don't think there is any difference to late and early apart from front parking sensors and cameras.
The mountings and other areas are essentially the same.

Yes it can be done and looks good. Ben from APT bent a bash plate to fit the OEM Alloy bulllbar for a mate of mine. The bullbar was painted black prior to installation by LR.

Now that is handy to know. Will give Ben a call and see how much delivered to Adelaide. Fixes the problem of trying to get the plastic shield off to access the recovery point

Spoke to Ben today, he said it wasn't one of his front guards, he said from memory it was an OEM LR Front guard, that he had to modify (bend) to fit with the OEM LR Bullbar.

Never heard of the OEM LR Front Guard - the one pictured does look different though different cut outs.

Tankmat - Any chance you can you find out more from your mate?

    Cheers
