    D4 Landrover Bull Bar - latest news

    Just confirmed, it is the OEM LR front guard (non winch version) bent by Ben from APT to fit the OEM LR alloy bullbar. MY16 specs D4 2016 build.

    The OEM LR front bash plate Part No. VPLAP0189 is from the MY16 D4 catalogue. Might want to check it fits earlier spec D4s as I believe the front bumper area changed slightly on late spec D4s.

    Yey!!! The Apt Front guard does fit with the OEM Bullbar, I left the car mechanics, he has managed to make it fit with an extra spacer. I will post pics when I get the car back....Very excited!

    Mechanics did a **** job weren't able to fit all my apt guards compressor, air tank covers and then charged $380 dollars for trying. Very disappointed they used spacera which reduced ground clearance because they used the wrong length bolts.

    ARB Summit Bar Pre Facelift 2013 HSE?

    I was in at ARB yesterday getting my Safari Snorkel fitted and asked about fitting the Summit bar.
    In line with previous comments, the young bloke advised it won’t fit my 2013 model.
    Has anyone with a 2013 and prior Discovery 4 successfully fitted a Summit bar to their vehicle?
    Im very aware of ARBs’ lack of model specific information/cross referencing for Land Rovers.
    Thanks for any info.

    I don’t believe these guys have any idea other than the catalogue says no so so do they.

    Legally ARB cannot fit the Summit (Facelift D4 MY14 onwards) bar to a pre-facelift D4 as it will not have the ADR/crash compliant sticker/number.

    The same reason a Deluxe (Pre-facelift) cannot be legally fitted to a facelift D4.

    Will it actually fit, probably, the only issues maybe to do with clearance between the bar and the grill/headlights.

    Valid point. They will have not backward certified it for the 2010-2013 model (sadly) and ADR certification requires the specific model and year’s applicable listed
