    Just a thank-U to all

    Hi All,
Well it’s been a long and busy few months with a very steep learning curve since I bought the D3 in october last year but I think I have completed the set-up of my D3 as a proper touring vehicle and hopefully will back to my wandering ways in the next few days.
Now that the departure date is imminent I think it is only right that I acknowledge the assistance of this fantastic website and all those who post here. I honestly believe that in today’s society people generally expect too much, both from themselves and others, yet don’t appreciate enough! So with that in mind I’d like to give a special mention to a few members who have posted some most helpful information.
Sniegy- your FAQ section is absolutely gold. It has, without a doubt, prevented me from posting many silly questions and answered a few I may not have even thought of. For a newbie disco3 owner my biggest reservation about buying a D3 is the sheer complexity of the vehicle combined with remote locations. Your FAQ section was an excellent place to begin an education about these vehicles.
Graeme- your posts about the llams certainly gave me the confidence to not only purchase the unit but install it myself. Taking into account that I dislike doing anything that involves electrical or electronics {big on hands, small on patience}, I think that speaks volumes about your assistance.
GGHaggis- As always your technical knowledge of the D3 etc has been invaluable. Whilst I didn’t take away as much information from the seminar as I would have hoped, it only takes that one specific piece of knowledge or advice that saves a person untold grief albeit financial or otherwise, that makes the seminar worthwhile.
RichardK- Just thanks for the many various pieces of information and your willingness to share your ideas and offers to help purely for the sake for being helpful. It is a rarity these days for people to want to help without some sort of personal gain in mind. “YOU ARE A LEGEND”
P.S. regretfully I haven’t had and won’t have time to catch up with you before I leave….Sorry…….
Andrew {Hardrange} - Your service and help with the MSV was second to none and you are a great guy just to have a chat too. When I get back that way I’ll buy you that beer.
Drivesafe- The dual battery, or in my case quadruple battery, system that you provide is, IMHO, the best I have ever seen. Certainly I have never used a better unit.
JesseB- Your post about the mud flaps, with photo’s, was a very quick solution to a problem that had just arisen. Your timing couldn’t have been better, much appreciated.
Pete at Bells auto service - Thank you for being patient with all the questions before the remap and your tip about the intercooler. Also Ronnie at BBS, same as above however in your case Ronnie I suspect you may not have heard the last of my rather basic questions!!
Now there is a whole host of people whom have posted very useful hints and tips etc, unfortunately I can’t remember everyone so consider this a blanket thank-you to anyone who has posted any useful information or personal experience about:
UHF fitting, rear carriers, bullbars, automatic transmissions,TPMS, long range tanks, side steps, under body protection and of course, last but by no means least tyres and rims especially whomever it was that posted about the tire rack.
happy travels all and may all your miles be interuppted only by the spectacular views
P.S. And this comes from someone who once believe that forums were for big noting, self indulgent people touting their opinions as fact. Happily, so many of you have proven me so wrong!!!!

    NomadicD3,
As much as i would love to take credit for the FAQ section, i cant.
It was Robert's (rmp) idea. Admittantly myself & a lot of other people have contributed & we are all grateful for your thanks.
Its nice to see that the work that is put in, does get noticed, used & the thanks gets passed on.
So I Thank-You from the bottom of my Land Rovering heart & hope you enjoy the trip of a life time.

    Just dont forget the photo's.

    Cheers & a Safe trip.
