    Brake pad changing advice

    Happy Easter everyone
Managed to get some pads for the D3 yesterday and will now spend a couple of hours on my back next to the caravan trying to get them on.
They look like a fairly normal setup but I'd thought I'd ask if there were any tricks.
I think I've got all the bits I need except a syringe for the excess fluid would have been handy.
Still a bit annoyed that they didn't pick it up during the service 2 weeks ago. I thought there was more left on them than that.
    Cheers

Good question, but I only got the car a few months ago.
We've done about 10k km & it's been running like clockwork.
I think the extra weight of the van & the highway km's probably made them wear a bit quicker recently.
I'll monitor this set & see how we go.
    Any tips?
    Cheers

The link below is to five pdf's which are a continuing "series" on how to change the brakes on a D3 including the parking brake. It is a lot more than just a few hints - it is everything.

The reason for the many pdf's is that Bodsy, (the author), incorporates new hints based on comments from other Disco3 members, hence he revises the instructions.

The current version is 1.5 and it is really quite detailed; over 800 views now.

Just changed the front pads on the D3 for the first time (by me ) and have to say it is one of the easiest vehicles I've changed pads on. Event the monitoring cable swap out was straight forward.
All over in well under an hour.
    Nice.
+1 for Bodsy's PDF... gieves you a good heads up when doing it for the first time.
