The trailer indicator doesn't work with my trailer (a 21W incandescent globe for each blinker) but the rear parking sensors deactivate, so inconclusive to me as to whether trailer stability control will be active or not.

Edit: Stability control of some sort was activated recently with the loaded trailer (1.3T) attached when a gravel corner tightened-up a little more than expected.

Thanks for that link Craig, very interesting? I was bemused about, Quote " L/R not wanting to put electric brakes on some of it's vehicles". What does this mean? Tow weight limited to 2.0T? How do other D4 owners, who have fitted electric brake wiring 'Mods' see this? Confused!!!

LR did not want to fit the controller to the demo vehicle.

LR are nanny. However I think they meant it was a LR vehicle and they will not put aftermarket parts on their own vehicles. The LR rating of 3.5T is with electric brakes.

    Hi Graeme,
Picking up on this thread a little late, but I am not getting the rear parking sensors to deactivate when my camper trailer is attached.... I assume this may be an electrical fault or maybe a bad connection? Any views anyone?
    Thanks,
    David

Earlier models did not have tow pack as standard and may not have had the tow electrics enabled by the dealer after they were fitted?

LED or incandescent lights on the camper? AFAIK, LR expects trailers to use incandescent lights. LR also expects the ignition to be turned off when a trailer is unhitched, so doesn't reactivate the rear sensors until next startup (I've been caught-out a couple of times), although they are disabled without a restart when the trailer is connected.

Not sure I would have put much faith in the report...it wasn't intentionally misleading....He obviously liked the car but the approach diluted or muddied any real benefit. It was a bit of a Cornflakes packet review, lacked relativity (compared to what?) and his facts were a bit 'grey' and I believe wrong in some areas.

My understanding is that the RR V8 Oiler is Serial/Parrallel and that the 3.0L TTD is serial only. 500nm at 500ms...any lag is the ZF not the donk and the second turbo definately kicks in above 2500rpm.....not 2000rpm......you only need to drive the car to realise that! Upgrades to the D4 are far more than cosmetic too. He could have done his homewok better.

    Anyway.......LOL!!!!

What gets up my nose about these reviews on LR products from the RV review industry is this stupid statement that the non-use of a WDH is a limitation.

They also fail to mention the serious safety limitation of tugs like the LC 200... NO Trailer Stability systems.

I fail to see how these other large tugs can be taken seriously when they fail to have such an important safety feature.
