This indicates that 17" wheels do fit the D3 V8.

    Hi,

This was my post from the Chip thread. I have owned 4 Discoveries and 3 Range Rovers in the past 20 years. I got my last Disco confused with my second last car. My last Disco (D3) was petrol 6 cylinder with the smaller brakes. I had 17 inch Land Rover D3 rims fitted with BFG Mud Terrains. My previous Disco (2 vehicles ago) was a D2 V8.
Sorry for the confusion. My understanding is that D3 and or D4 (3lt or v8) have bigger brakes and wont take 17 inch rims.
    Cheers,
    Matt

My money's on that size being a misprint.
