    Squeak

When turning the ignition on in the D3 (TDV6) I get a squeak from I think under the drivers door, is there a solonoid somewhere there that may be causing a problem?
    Has anyone had this happen?

    RichardK,

I have had squeaks from the suspension bushes but only when moving, does not sound like what you are describing.

Does it only happen at start up ? can you hear it any other time. Mine was only noticeable when going slowly up a gutter or such thing like backing out onto the street, seemed to go away after time?

    Not much help sorry.

    George

It only sounds on turning the ignition on, sounds like something electrical like a solonoid opening

There is a memory function that can move the power seat when unlocking the door. When that happens, I often hear squeaks from the leather rubbing on something.

I suppose it would also happen when the key was inserted in the ignition if the door was previously unlocked, but you should feel the seat moving even just a little bit.

The only noise I get on turning the key is the 'fart' from the blend flaps behind the dash. Nothing clicky solenoidy sounding at all.
