Just found out November now.
I went in with full intention of buying the 2.7. My current tow car is a TDi V6 Toaureg. The 2.7 was very disappointing in acceleration and I think that towing our 3.5 tonne 7 metre horse trailer would be not as comfortable. It was my wife that pushed me towards driving the 3l.
I then drove the 3l. Not quite as quick as the Toaureg (not much in it) but it was a world apart. Toaureg is slightly lighter but gearbox has sport, normal and tiptronic, but abundance of torque on the disco saw it pull away without the need to kickback the cogs.
Once I spoke to Gordon from Green Oval Experience, i confirmed by purchase.....was very concerned about the 19's initially. I will purchase some 18's from Gordon later on with some better LT's to go on them.
Very interested/pleased to hear about the iPod connectivity in the 2012 model.
I wonder if that USB point on the standard sound system will put enough power through recharge the iPod/iPhone? It would be nice to save money on not buying the sound/satnav upgrade just to run my iPod. Having said when I thought I had to buy it, that the whole upgrade touch screen satnav sound system ackage was starting to sound cool:angel:
